I have had a site that teaches the elvish language bookmarked for a long time. Today I realized that I can translate Sirius' name into elvish! Here's the site: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/2196/index.html
Just for fun, I'll give a lil' background info on Sirius' name that I've looked up. I didn't use it to translate the name, just thought you might think it's cool. Anyway, Sirius Black is named after a star, known as "Sirius," part of the constellation Canis Major. The star is also known as "the Dog Star." Remind you of anything? And his last name Black may be referenced to the night sky. So, in my opinion, his name comes out to mean, "star in the night." But enough about my research.
Two quotes from the above mentioned site:
"SIRIUS Niellune, Nierninwa -LT1:262"
"BLACK more (in compounds mori-, e.g. Moriquendi), morna, morqua"
So, Sirius Black's elvish name is roughly: Niellune More
